Something good for your ears and soul - John Hampson

Go back in time ten years and you'll hear John Hampson's voice on pop/rock radio stations with the hit Nine Days songs Absolutely (Story of a Girl) and If I Am. Since the hit Nine Days album The Madding Crowd was released in 2000, there's been several Nine Days and John Hampson albums released. In 2009 Hampson released Shiny New Album which features ten solid tracks from start to finish. The tunes on Shiny New Album are mellow in comparison to some of the songs that you would hear Hampson sing on the Nine Days albums. On The Road is probably my favorite song to listen to from the album, the lyrics are catchy and can hit you hard if you really let it sink in. The first single How Much will remind you of the Jason Mraz song I'm Yours, but keep in mind that Hampson wrote this song before the Mraz song was recorded. As for sad songs, the best on the album would have to be Miss You So Hard, the lyrics go together with the music to make this one of the best songs that I have ever heard. As for upbeat songs, there are two Stella, and Good Time For A Mistake. You can buy the entire album or single tracks on Amazon ($7.99), and also on itunes. There are free downloads of How Much, When We Were 22, and Stella at popcore.net. John has a new album planned for release this spring titled Private Little Revolutions.

I have several John Hampson unreleased solo songs that I plan to upload. For now here are two of my favorites. Right click and then "save as" to download

Miss You So Hard is one of my favorites too. Sometimes, you don't know what you have until it is gone.
