We went to the Tweetsgiving event at the Plaza Bowl in Richmond on Tuesday night. We socialized, had a few drinks, bowled, and listened to karaoke. It was also nice meet a few people that I've talked to on twitter such as @anarva, @kindnessgirl, @KSiddall, @styleweekly, and @thomasmcdonald. Intimidator 305 Construction Pictures - 11/20/09

I've added over 60 pictures that I took today on the Intimidator 305 construction site at Kings Dominion. You can view the pictures in my Intimidator 305 photo gallery. The construction site was messy due to the rain on Thursday night, but the crew was working hard despite the muddy ground. If things go as planned the lift hill should be completed on Sunday.

Support a good cause and buy tickets to the Tweetsgiving event that is being held on 11/24/09 at Plaza Bowl in Richmond. For event information and ticket prices visit http://tweetsgivingrva.eventbrite.com/
There's an open invitation for Meade Skelton to perform at the event. It would be great to have him show up and play some tunes.

Meade Skelton Record Release Party

Meade Skelton & The Meadow Street Band played at Tabernacle Baptist Church on 11/14/09 to celebrate the release of Meade's new single. The turnout was nice and it looked like everyone enjoyed the food & music. I think that Meade was a little nervous with all of the high profile twitter and blogger folks there, haha! You can see a few pictures from the show in my gallery.
And if you missed the show, here's the setlist...

Offseason at Kings Dominion

Besides the construction of Intimidator 305, Kings Dominion has been hard at work so far during the offseason. There's track work happening on the Rebel Yell, the Planet Snoopy prep has begun, and several rides have moved into winter storage mode. New offseason pictures have been uploaded to the gallery.

Intimidator 305 Construction Pictures - 11/10/09

Intimidator 305 is soaring into the Virginia sky and will hopefully be complete in a few months. I toured the I305 construction site this evening at Kings Dominion, and I took some pictures of the progress that has been made so far. I was also able to watch one of the massive lift hill pieces being lifted into place while I was on site. You can view the pictures from today in my Intimidator 305 construction photo gallery.
Clint Novak and Will Holder took some great pictures that can be found in the gallery at KDFansite. You can view Clint's video update from today by clicking here.

Obama to announce existence of Aliens

I stumbled across the following article when I was searching for reviews of The Fourth Kind, Official Disclosure of Extraterrestial Life is Imminent
I'm pretty sure that no announcement will ever really happen, but just imagine how people would react if it did.

Goodbye Scooby Doo

Today marked the end of Scooby Doo and Nickelodeon at Kings Dominion, next year the Peanuts characters will be moving into the park. We had a great time at the KDFansite meet up at Kings Dominion tonight. Thanks to KDFansite we were all able to take one final ride through Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion. Kings Dominion also turned the lights on in the building and allowed us to take pictures while on the ride. Check out the pictures from the final ride by clicking here
Intimidator 305 is starting to come together, but the rain has slowed down construction. I'll be posting some pictures along with updated information throughout the winter, so be sure to check back from time to time.
