Yes, it really was that dark!
The Cohoke "Ghost Light" in King William County, Virginia has always fascinated me. About three years ago I saw the mysterious light for the first time. After that I returned and experienced it on several different occasions. I don't know if it's "swamp gas", the confederate "ghost train", or the railway worker who is looking for his head, but it really does appear sometimes. Several times when I saw the light it did seem to move back and forth just like a person walking with a lantern in hand. I have even shined a spot light at it just to make sure there was really nothing there. The tracks are located in the middle of a field on Mt. Olive - Cohoke Rd in King William, it's pretty easy to find and there's a nice place to pull off and park. If you decide to make the trip down there be sure to go on a night when it's really dark and the moon is not showing, that seems to be when I had the best luck seeing it. I haven't seen the light in a few years, but I would like to get another look at it soon!

Meade Skelton, the Government is watching you!
It's that time of the month for Meade Skelton and it looks like he has gone off the deep end once again. Meade seems to think that the Government is using Twitter, Facebook, and Myspace to spy on us all. If you want a good read you should head over to Meade Music and read his post titled "Stay Away From Twitter". Personally, if the Government wants to keep tabs on what I'm doing I could care less. There's no way my life is that exciting.
I would also like to send a big thank you to the Memphis Tigers for busting my brackets by losing Friday night. You suck Memphis!!! Next year I hope I'm not stupid enough to pick them to get anywhere in the tournament, I don't know what I was thinking.

UFO over Richmond?
Tonight I was on 360 coming through Mechanicsville when I noticed two white lights really faint in the sky. As I got closer to Richmond I saw that they would move left and then right, and back again. So just as I started to get excited about extraterrestrials landing in Gilpin Court, I then realized that what I was looking at wasn't anything from outer space after all. Instead it was the space beams penetrating out of the top of Club Velvet, the same ones they salvaged from Skate America and refurbished years ago. I can only imagine that every plane flying over the Richmond area has to see that. Hell I bet ALF is sitting on Melmac wondering where the hell those two annoying beams of light are coming from. Shouldn't there be some sort of law against those lights?

Washing your hands
Last night I went with some friends to a bar. Each time that I went to the restroom I noticed that nobody ever stopped to wash their hands except for myself. I can only imagine the amount of bacteria that was caked on the door handle that every guy had to touch on his way out of the restroom. I wonder how many of them touched that handle and then touched their food with the same hand. I read online that 1/3 of Americans leave the restroom without washing their hands.

Since it's St. Patrick's Day...
Since it's St. Patrick's Day I thought it would be appropriate to post my all time favorite news report.

I don't play that much

I checked out my stats and it says that I have played over 90 hours of Call of Duty World at War online multiplayer. As I type this I've killed 8,060 people on the PS3. I've fired 206,635 shots, 24,781 shots have actually hit someone. I guess I'm not too bad of a player for the amount of time I have put into the game. Feel free to add me on PSN, username Panthers82.
On 3/19 the first map pack for Call of Duty World at War will be released.

PM pills
When I first took two Tylenol PM pills I quickly learned how sleepy that they would make me. Since then the only type of pills I will take for headaches are PM pills. I decided recently to buy the cheaper Equate brand PM pills that they sell at Wal-Mart. They work just as good when it comes to knocking you out. They also seem to cause me to dream once I fall asleep. If I'm having a hard time sleeping all I do is take two pills and I'm out. I know that I really shouldn't rely on pills to help me sleep, but it sure does help.
I finally made a twitter account this weekend. I'm not sure what good twitter is, but I added a link to the top of my blog.
I guess this week will be full of NCAA tournament bracket picking for everyone. I'll be pulling for VCU. I'm not sure how far they will make it, but I'd love to see them upset a big team or two.
I'm ready for this rain and cold weather to leave. I sure would like to get out and do a little fishing soon.

Fun in the snow

I was finally able to have a little fun in the snow. It hasn't snowed very much since I bought my ATV so I took advantage of the situation.

MP3 Downloads - Blyss (Lifehouse) - Diff's Lucky Day

Before Lifehouse became the band that everyone knows them as today, they were called Blyss. The album Diff's Lucky Day was released in 1999 and very few hard copies of the cd actually exist. I have uploaded the album tracks along with the b-sides from that time. Download and enjoy!
You can save the mp3's by right clicking on the song title
Breathing - One of my favorite Lifehouse songs. This is slightly different than the version that ended up on "No Name Face"
Cling And Clatter - Also appeared on "No Name Face"
Crown Of Scars - Only found on Diff's Lucky Day
Eighties - Blyss B-side. Slower song, but very good
Fairytales And Sand Castles - Later re-recorded and became a B-Side on "No Name Face"
Fool - This song ended up as a Lifehouse B-Side. Catchy tune!
Joshua - Great B-side with catchy lyrics
May - Another very good B-side.
Mudpie - This one only appears on Diff's Lucky Day
Revolution Cry - Good song that was only on Diff's Lucky Day
Simon - B-side that later appeared on "No Name Face"
Somewhere In Between - Pretty similar to the version that is on "No Name Face"
Storm - My favorite from this cd, this song also makes an appearance on the Lifehouse cd "Who We Are"
Trying - Very similar to the version found on "No Name Face"
Unknown - A little different than the version on "No Name Face"
What's Wrong With That - This is another song that ended up as a B-Side on "No Name Face"
You Can Shake The Mountains - Another good Blyss B-side

Snow Storm
3/2 Update - Here's a little video I took while driving
This is the first time we have had a decent storm in quite some time. It seems like we are usually in for it when the storm comes up from the south. I'll be taking some more pictures tomorrow and I have some video footage that I may post. Also, can the idiots who don't know how to drive please stay off of the roads, atleast when I'm out there. That goes for the women in the SUV's who think they are bigger than life itself.
